After a year and a half, some favorites to date.

Older silver, a Buffalo nickel and steel penny found since owning the Land Ranger Pro, The 1865 Mexican 40 cent piece in the lower right corner was found with the Fisher F5 years back. Have found wheaties, a few Susan B's and such, but these are my favorites. The LRP is a great silver machine...

    Question on Hori Hori's

I've have a Lesche already. But wanted to get a good Hori Hori knife. I found this one for $26 and wanted to know if anyone has used one, or suggest a good one. Looking at many, they price from $14 to $75. What I liked about this one is that it had a handle shaped for digging rather than the...

Strange pricing on the Land Ranger Pro

Bounty Hunters are sold at a different pricing structure. No Minimum Advertised Pricing structure like most other detectors. Lately, the costs of the LRP has actually escalated. The biggest store, had the original pricing at $257. They dropped it to $228 for the last month. It's sold out and...

Someone needs to manufacture a screw on to plug in adapter.

Making the Greek coils work on the BH Pro line. I'm sure there are enough Bounty Hunter Pro users out there to keep the sales going.

    Question for dealers

I saw the Tek Delta selling for new for $138 at XXX. I thought Teks followed MAP pricing. Is the Delta being reduced like the 8000 and T2? Seems like a great deal. Are dealers aware of this?

    Depth tests on many detectors

The site is French, but very understandable by it's actions. You can watch each test or just go to the end to see the score card. The XP Deus is impressive. But what got me is that my Land Ranger Pro did about as well as the AT Pro on depth. All tests are done equally, so it leaves little doubt...

    LRP All Metal mode

Today, in my continuing attempt at learning the LRP language, I wanted to spend time in the All Metal mode. What a surprise. First, I never really used it very much concentrating on discrimination and presets. But today, the LRP blew my mind. In the AM mode, ground balance can be done by Ground...

    Finally happened. Zilch.

I have never gone detecting without at least a few pennies/nickels...something. Today was my zilch day. I tried a small Veteran's park with a nice monument and a few picnic shelters in the middle of town. I got nothing but 38s, 46s and typical moving junk signals. I was using the Quick Draaw...

    Still loving the LRP/QDP

This weekend is too crowded at my local park. Lots of activity for Labor Day. Tomorrow should be nice as everyone goes back to work and kids back in school. Last week my LRP got me $23.60, took the QDP out one day and cheesed in another $7.75. Still have a little trouble with nickels, but now...

    Oh......the pain

After sitting all winter, when I get back out to start detecting, I notice that after the first hunt for the season, the upper front part of my legs get so sore and the next two days I have to sit and wait for them to get used to getting up and down to retrieve targets. It s**ks to get old.
