    The Old SE Is Sick

Buy yourself a new detector for Christmas, I'm still running my Explorer SE pro. Still good machines but I'd upgrade at first inkling of a problem.

    Anyone recognize this coin

Best way to mark a site, so you can come back and dig later

I'm with IDXmonster, dig immediately. But I do mark potential "sites" to visit later on Google maps, just drop a pin and make a list.

    New "workout" plan for 2022?

    Explorers also? 😔

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

Off topic, but besides weight, what turns you off about the Explorer series, my 2010 model se pro is still my lone detector. I'm obviously not well versed in a variety of detectors, but I "think" it still can hold its own with the best?

    Coins and Treasury Department

Send coins to the Treasury dept to destroy? I'm not understanding your question, I spend the nasty clad and toss in trash rotten zinc cents

    Brief rant

What about the old coot that walks over to inform you that they or an "acquaintance" (lol) have hunted the area your hunting years before and there's nothing left.... Truly, one of those has been the best yard hunt I've had.

Day 2 Equinox 800/newer users and potential buyers

I hunt by sound like Kindman tall said, I use the Minelab Explorer and rarely look at the screen. Over time you learn the tones by ear and become very adept at the audible nuances. I couldn't tell you what any of the screen numbers are.

Weekend finds another SLQ and more silver! And a old. Silver coin made into a ring!

Nice haul + the ring, like Ted said I found one few years back but mine was unfinished, I suppose The maker lost it 🤦🏻‍♂️

I dig this iffy signals too, most people pass them up, they can truly surprise the heck out of you sometimes.

    1894 O Dime

Went after work to an older section of town scouting for a detecting spot when I happened upon an empty lot that the house has been gone probably 30 years. For some reason somebody bulldozed off the top layer of modern wine bottle screw caps and zinc pennies...I dug about 8 or 10 targets...

    3/22/2017, a few finds

Coming home from work this morning I decided to revisit an old house site I haven't been to in a few years. Just a quick hunt, maybe 2 hours and here's a couple pics. This is the first boy scout token like this I've found, not valuable and in rough shape though. Nice Indian 1905 cent and a few...

    Walking Liberty Half

Today I finally found my second silver half, and it took almost three years since my first (a 1934) about a hundred feet from where I found this one today. When I found the first half, an old widow (very nice lady) who lived in the last remaining house on the block at the time had been watching...

    February Indian

Went to a school built in 1925, searched a slice of the front lawn slowly, not a very productive day but I did manage a few modern pennies, a 1930 wheat and this 1898 Indian. Been there quite a few times so I guess that confirms you never find it all.
