Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

I guess some dealers don’t know either? KellyCo says the 700 uses 20 and 40 in Mult-IQ I have to say, the more you read about these things, the less people seem to know. I guess the best thing for me to do is pick one and learn it. Learn all about it with actual use. Thanks again everyone for...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

What frequencies does the 600/700 use in Mult-IQ? I know you can select 20, or 40 as a single frequency. But in Mult-IQ I’ve read it does use 20 and 40 to help unmask targets. I can not confirm this, as the information was not from Minelab.

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

As of now, I think it going to be the Legend I choose. But I am considering the 700.

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Thanks for replying. BTW, I’m in East Tennessee Where are you? Thanks for replying. I will check out backwood. Kellyco is less than 20 mins from me. But they don’t have an actual storefront you can go in and look. I was hoping they did, as I would love to at least hold each one.

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Back with a few more questions. How “bad” are the coil ears to break on the 600/800 series? I‘ve seen reviews say the 600/800 biggest flaw is the coil ears. Also, comparatively, Is the 600 a better machine than the Vanquish? The vanquish runs 5hz, 10hz, 15hz, 20hz & 40hz The 600/700 don’t have...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

I’m stuck between a Nox 800 and the Legend. I have downloaded the user manuals, looking to see what one “reads” easier to use.

Question on 3 ring ammo 👍

.58 is around 500 grains IIRC I’ll try to weigh one later for you.

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

I understand that. I’m a Toyota guy. I get it. But I’m not 100% loyal to anything. I am loyal to quality and performance. I like the idea of having different (more) tone breaks. Thanks for the reply. I’m using all this information to help make my decision. I do my best to gets reviews and...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

You are most certainly helping. i appreciate you taking time to answer my question. thank you. BTW, it is cool you swing an MXT. The MXT is not hard to use, and once you “know” the machine, it almost talks to you. It‘s a heavy tank for sure. But it a relic sniffer once you understand it. I‘m...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

How does the Legend compare to the 540? I did make a phone call to a local dealer. I was told the Legend was built to compete with the Nox. But the Nox was a better detector with a few more features. Then again, the Nox cost more and this was a dealer giving me the information. I will say, the...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Which Minelab? The Vanquish or the Nox?

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

It’s a possibility. I hadn’t intended to spend that much. But I have had my MXT for 15+ years. I bet the Nox and Manti will need 3 or 4 battery pack replaced by then. so that’s a concern as well.

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Is the only difference in the 800 vs 900 is 900 has a few more sensitivity setting, vibration grip, and a flash light? I don’t care to spend the extra money. But is it that much better?

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Thank you all for the input. I do have a friend with a 440. We went out recently to a spot he had been to many times. I did better than he did with my MXT, but I believe my experience with the MXT was why I dug stuff he had misssed. I am by no means bragging about myself. But I remember when...

Will the Vanquish enough to replace my MXT?

Howdy folks. I am in the market for a new detector. I currently have a White’s MXT. It’s been my only detector for 10 years. I never did any coin hunting, I alway dug civil war relics. I haven’t used the MXT for about 4 years, but picked it up again a few weeks ago. I am just getting back into...

Any reason NOT to Equx800 over an AT-Max?

Years ago I stared with an ACE-250. Then I was blessed with the opportunity to hunt with some off the best relic hunters I the U.S. One of which was Carl Mathius. He was at a time a Representative for Garrett Detectors. Very nice guy. But as time went on, I bought an MXT as it seemed best for me...

Do the Equinoxand CTX3030 operate off the same principle?

First off I am not looking for a comparison. I looking to get all the information I can in oder to make my next detector purchase. I see that both the Equinox and the CTX3030 both use multi frequency. Do they both operate multi-frequencies at the same time? Can you use you a combination of...

AT Series as good as the Ace 250 on nickels?

I started my love for this hobby on an ACE 250. Since then, I've used quite a few detectors. And none have come close to picking nickels like the ACE 250. If the ID # didn't move, And I foget the # as it's been so long, it was 5c every time. Honestly it is probably the the best "turn on and go"...

    MXT at the Beach

Hey all, I'm a 3+ year user of the MXT. I use it mostly for relics and some coin picking. I've never used it at the beach and had a few questions. 1. Is the coil and wire ok in salt water? (I've had it in fresh water) 2. I currently have a coil cover on it, Should I remove this to let the...
