A question for Ace 350 users

Been using my 350 for a couple of years now and it has what has become a very annoying "issue". When in anything but a mowed yard, it will give a false signal sometimes at the slightest bump into stubble, sticks etc. Does yours do this? Is this normal? Can it be remedied? Thanks for any input...

I have a pic request.

First, I've been away for quite a while, so...Hi Guys/Gals! Now, on to my request. Any site I go to, be it detecting, cars, what have you, I love to see stuff (tools & equip for the job) that folks thought up and made themselves. In our case here, scoops, sifters, shovels, etc, anything that YOU...

In fairness to the "DIGGERS" and who they are...

....and their presumed lack of ethics, here ya go. They sound like normal, fun loving guys who genuinely love and care about the hobby to me. NOTE TO THE MODS, THESE VIDS HAVE BEEN CLEARED THROUGH THE GUVNER, thanks. http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/diggers/videos/filling-in-holes/...

Well gang, I've decided I need to go to Gettysburg this summer, and I have questions.

Been "talkin about" goin for many years, but I guess after all the reading, and lookin at pix and watchin movies and videos while I was laid up this past year I hear all those voices calling me to come. Anyway, I have no knowledge of how they do things there so for those who may have been...

I am learning to love my ACE 350, but..............

.......I sure wish it had a volume control on it. I really dont like wearing the headphones, but because the tones are so loud I feel it a must to wear them when in parks and such where people are around because it will surely draw attention to myself. Anyone know a way to quiet these things...

What is your, as of yet unfound, "dream find"?

Was talking with a guy I met about detecting and were discussing what I have found and what would be the find that would really make my socks roll up and down, so I thought I'd put the question to you all. We all have are interests, be it relics, jewelry or coins etc, but what is your dream...

Dont let those bugs keep you from that hunt in the brush!

About a month ago I was out on a hunt and found rather quickly that the ticks were already out, so I beat it back to the truck and went to a nice mowed park. On the way home I was thinking about it and decided to take some steps to try to keep the ticks, chiggers and skeeters from...

So, do you folks have other interests/hobbies that you like to persue beside MDing?

Just kinda lookin to see if MDing is our only common ground or do you enjoy other hobbies and such. Anything that you are passionate or fanatical (in a good way) about. As for me, MDing is something I've been interested in for many years and have lurked on a number of sites, but it wasnt till I...

Man my elbows are killing me, is this normal?

Do any of you get sore elbows from after you've been out "swingin"? Man, I mean its quite painful. If I got into a brawl right now I'd be screwed, hurts to make a fist? Is this normal when starting out? Will it go away? Wasnt gonna go out at all this weekend, maybe all this week, but I couldnt...

Wasnt gonna go out at all this weekend, but I just couldnt......

.......stand not going. I was surfing here then around 5:45 this evening I couldnt take it, so I drove out to an old home site for a bit. Chose not to limit myself to just coins, so I set the ACE 350 on relic just to see what I might dind. Only had about an hour when I got there, but, found...

Speaking of great quotes from those who lived the Civil War.......

If you haven't before, check out this site http://www.brotherswar.com/Civil_War_Quotes.htm Lots of awesome info there. I continue to be in awe of these men, on both sides, from the Private to the General, they were just so different then, they were so articulate in their speech and their views...

Well this was an interesting find, any guesses on the age?

I went back to an old home site I visited a couple of weeks ago and got this signal on my old Whites Coinmaster 6000 indicating it was either a pretty large target of a highly mineralized spot, but it wasnt to deep (bout 4-5') so I dug it and this was it. I have no idea how old it is or how long...

Does anyone here use your ACE 350 in the water?

I was just wondering if anyone actually uses the 350 in the water, fresh water that is, like creeks, rivers, beaches etc. I know the coils are water proof but I'd like to hear your experiences using it in the water. Thanks. Ken.

A serious question for you folks that seek and find civil war relics.

I posted this in the Civil War forum too. As someone who has grown to love our history, I'm curious, when you dig up an obvious war related target, say a bullet, or buckle or whatever, does it "do anything" to you, I mean, do you take some time to just look at it and ponder the time, the moment...

Question about notching out unwanted targets.

So you're out with your ACE 350 and you've shifted your search efforts from the old home site and looking for anything old, to say the city parks and wanting only jewelry. I've seen where guys will notch out everything but nickels because gold usually gives a nickel tone, but if you notch out...

Speaking of coin finds and coin values....

....someone told me today that if I find any 2009 dimes in my hunts, or in my change, that I should hold on to them cuz they are going to be worth something. When I asked why, the lady said that a customer of hers, a coin collector, said there were not many dimes made in '09 and that he would...
