    XP Deus Backpack

As many are probably aware, based on the posting of My First Relic Hunt with the Deus II, Mary and I took a flight up to Tennessee to visit our daughter and her husband. They recently bought a house on 12 never detected acres about 45 minutes from Nashville. Beautiful mountains, rocky terrain...

what type of wired headphones would you recommend ? Tony Eisenhower waterproof headphones for the Deus 2 are the best.

    v2.0 Pinpoint volumn help.

I noticed the same thing and thus far, I haven’t found a solution. My guess, it’s a bug in the V2.0 software.

    D2 noob program recommendations.

Something to keep in mind regarding any predetermined settings to include the factory settings which are very good is this infallible truth that I learned many years ago. Predetermined settings only serve to get you in the ballpark at best. It’s up to you then to pick the best seat. You must...

    Goodbye PI.

Nauti, I made that same decision regarding PI machines many many moons ago when I was testing detectors for KellyCo. The Garrett ATX and Sea Hunter convinced me beyond any doubt that digging 16-18 inches for a Bobbi pin was not in the cards for me…. No way. I’m more than happy with my Deus II. 👍🏻

XP Deus 2 in Tot Lots

You can certainly use the D2 on a tot lot...but I can empathize with the tank and squirrel analogy!!! ;) I would use the General program and turn the sensitivity down. Just the view from my foxhole....

Xy screen when targets too deep?

My. experience with the xy screen mirrors that of Picketwire. Beyond a few inches in depth and with trash in the area, it's not much use in my opinion. If the target is shallow it reports accurately. Given all that, I've decided not to use it even though I love the Deus II.

Are either of XP's backpacks any good?

From one of my previous posts: As many are probably aware, based on the posting of My First Relic Hunt with the Deus II, Mary and I took a flight up to Tennessee to visit our daughter and her husband. They recently bought a house on 12 never detected acres about 45 minutes...

Used Deus 1 vs Minelab Xterra Pro for Beach detecting

The Deus I is NOT a saltwater beach detector. I had one and can attest to that personally. It’s unstable in a saltwater environment. A good land machine but not a saltwater beach machine.

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

I always use the 11" on the beach because as Sube corrected stated, the 13 is no deeper because they are the same width...which determines the depth capability. At least that's been my personal experience over the years of trying many many coils on many different detectors. I recently added a...

    coil not pairing

Try re-pairing the coil. I had an issue like that when I first got my 9" coil. I finally discovered that I typed in the wrong serial number listed on the coil, It was very hard to read whether the digit was an 8 or 9, 5 or 6!!! When I figured that out and typed the right number, it paired up...

    Backpacks

Although I've had the 280 for awhile now, this is the first time I've taken it through the airport as the back pack it was designed to be. In a word, Perfection! Efficiency: First and foremost this back pack is tremendous in how much and how well it can hold all parts and pieces of the...

    Upgrade to the Deus 2?

Absolutely. I had a Deus I and although it was a good selectable frequency detector, the Deus II being a simultanious multi frequency machine, far surpassed in it bottom line performance...especially in saltwater beach environments. There are other enhancements with thte Deus II but you get...
  17. ColonelDan

Interesting how many frequencies the Deus 2 is actually using?

Well, as an old cavalry guy who's totally unschooled in such technical things like frequency analysis, I can just go by what my on-the-ground experiences have been with detectors going back to 1970. I've seen a distinct and tremendous improvement over the years. My Deus II now outperforms...

Why so many people dumping the Deus 2

If you beach hunt as I do, there's a world of difference between the Deus I and the Deus II. I had a Deus I for a short period of time and sold it because it just was not capable of hunting in salt water environments. The Deus II on the other hand is right at home on our Florida beaches. As...

Need a little help on this weird occurrence with my D2

By "Srim 40" do you mean Discrimination of 4.0? If so, try setting your discrimination at 6.5. This will give you the old "iron grunt" over such targets.
