Old ring found today at a colonial site with the 600. Anyone seen one like it?

You maybe partially right. The Romans made bronze rings I have one the was found in England. You are probably right that maybe they weren't in the US. The reason I thought bronze was due to the patina. it looks like the bronze items we found in England. certainly could be copper as well.

Compliment machine to my XP Deus

Would be a great complement for your XP Deus. I have the 800 for water hunting. it is quite a bit heavier than Deus. Multi frequency or not, in my humble opinion there is no better land machine than Deus. I have found some very great gold jewelry finds with it.

Old ring found today at a colonial site with the 600. Anyone seen one like it?

looks like a bronze US flag ring based upon what I can see in the picture. If found on a colonial site it would make sense. Looks like stars & stripes to me.

Recent years some Very good water machines have been discontinued, are their replacements much better ?

I have used the head hunter pulse, excaliber, white's dual field & now the equinox. Only used the equinox this summer but I have high hopes for it. Use Patriot underwater head phones get real loud clear signals. Based on my limited use so far I really like it.

    Bam Tiffany & Co

Could be $20k! Tiffany is not going to put a poor quality diamond in their ring plus 2.38 carats is a big diamond & color probably worth more. Just my opinion but let us know after your appraisal. Good luck!

    Bam Tiffany & Co

Fabulous Find, Tiffany platinum & 2.38 carats it certainly is worth getting appraised. Based on that information I'm quite sure it's worth a bundle, 15K on the low end

Best machine for jewelry on land

I have used the minelabs, whites, tesoro & deus & I hunt specifically for gold jewelry & hands down the deus with the high frequency coil 4 1/2 x 9 in eliptical is hands down the best detector I have used. I have found chains, rings, earrings. I run it 31 khz. Very sensitive & with super fast...

Hand pain caused by the Equinox’s grip

I have had an issue with my hand as well. Not sure why they made such a thick grip. I bought the nox this year & it didn't happen at first but my hand hurts all the time now even with the six inch coil. Hoping the time off this winter not detecting will help. Maybe I'll try the gel grip suggested.

    Large Coil

Thanks for all your helpful advice. I believe based upon what I have heard that I'm probably better off sticking with the standard coil. I have trouble as it is pin pointing sometimes with the standard in freshwater even with my giant scoop. LOL

    3RD EQUINOX BITES THE DUST...

I was really concerned about this as I had heard that they had problems leaking. I finally got the courage to dunk it. So far I have water hunted about 10 times & thoroughly dunked it. So far it hasn't leaked. If you're having problems with volume I would recommend Patroit Headphones. Give a...

    Large Coil

I believe it was freshwater. I was always under the impression that a larger coil gave more depth than a smaller coil. Am I wrong? My question is how much additional depth should I expect? Thanks!

    Large Coil

I watched a video where these guys were digging up really deep gold rings with large coil. I was wondering how much deeper the large coil would go vs the standard Coil for gold jewelry ? Anybody use it water hunting? How easy is it to pin point with? Would be interested in hearing from those...
