I just got the Discovery 3300 and love it. Any suggestions for rechargeable batteries? Nimh or NiCad? Thanks for any help>

    Compadre or mid-rang Bounty Hunter?

I was introduced to metal detecting this last Christmas with a used BH Discovery 1100 as a gift. Not knowing anything @ metal detecting, I started visiting forums to learn more and have had some success finding coins with the BH. Then I discovered the Tesoro machines and began to think that...

    Different Compadres?

Hello all. I am new to detecting and am thinking about buying a new Compadre and noticed that on some of the youtube videos some machines had 2 knobs instead of one. If I remember correctly, some if not all I saw the guys involved spoke French. Do the units sold out of the US have 2 knobs...

BH Discovery 3300 vs Pioneer 505

I think I'm ready to move up from my Discovery 1100 to something a little better. Not ready for a high end model yet but I have been looking at these two machines. Primarily for coins and relics. They both seem to fit the bill but not sure which would be better. I know these are old models...

Received BH Discovery 1100 for Christmas 2016

I am retired and my wife got me the 1100 model by BH for Christmas. Didn't want to spend too much since I have never done this before. Anyway, I have pretty well dug up my back yard and have started on the front. No great finds yet. I know that the 1100 is an entry level machine and am...
