met up with my buddy DiggerDan today and off we went to knock doors.....1st farm we stopped at no one answered the door. Off to farm #2
elderly gentleman opened the door and gladly gave us permission. Sure glad he did, his yard was loaded with goodies!!

FIRST target in his yard was the SLQ, my 2nd one this year. Got a 1901 indian, 6 wheats, 1910, 1912, 1914, 1915, 1940, 1941

2 old broach type items

1930 Van Wert Dog license, in the shape of a dog's head, pretty cool!

tootsie truck, red ryder patrol badge, good for 5 cents in trade at T. H. Norton Ft Wayne In. token, 1919 buffalo nickel, play coin, and my favorite find of the day..........

Gene Autry kids ring! I really like it a lot. This yard was awesome, absolutely not a single clad coin in sight!!!!

That's a really a GREAT day you had there !!!

I also dug a SLQ today too - ( my first one ) it's the earlier type - before the date was recessed - the date on mine is wiped clean - looks like the date in yours is worn off too !
The Red Book says mine would be a - 1917 to 1924.

Some really neat finds there. It pays to ask permission to hunt these old houses. Congrats!
