As if we don't have enough already with the headphones, 2 digging tools, propointer, water, gloves and now we're going to have to add another item...TOILET PAPER!!! After my outing today I almost needed some...It is supposed to rain here for the next 4 to 5 days so I wanted to get out today for awhile. Stopped at another old sidewalk and my first dig was a 1953 silver roosie and I said to myself this is going to be a good day. Well 2 hours later and about 15 memorials, 5 clad dimes, 8 wheaties and 2 clad quarters I said that's it, I'm going home. Packed everything in the car and took a long drink of water and home I headed. Only about 100 yards I saw a great looking spot off the side of the street and I just had to try it. Within 2 minutes I got a 03-47 which was not on my list for anything I was familiar with. So I decided to dig it. It showed to be 4 to 5" deep and it had a real pretty squeal to it. After plunging my tool into the soil twice I saw in the hole the ridges of a large piece of round metal and as I reached in for it and picked it up and looked at it my bowels began to rumble.....A 1943 Walking Liberty Half in all her splendor. That for sure was the end of my day as it couldn't get much better. But I will return to that place real soon. What a great feeling...Goes to prove one thing...If in doubt...DIG IT!!!

Good find buddy. I started to laugh about the other post you made. The one about you almost peeing your pants lol. Just glad you did not show us a pic of this one lol

Digging up one of these Beauties... it's like you are waking up the pretty lady after many years of a peaceful sleep....
 
I know exactly how you felt when you pulled your WLH out of the hole - I found my first one a few months ago - wow - what great looking coins - good job finding yours ! :clapping:
