That a real thrill when you see that "Half Dime" on the back! I know I was excited when I found my first one! Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your first

Foreign coin looks like a Japanese One Sen, made 1916-1938.

Those are some great finds! Congrats on a very nice first, that half dime is Awesome! You are doing great this year, keep it up!

Beautiful finds - a huge congrats on finding the Half Dime ! :beers:

congratulations on finding your first half dime! i have also only found one, what a rush to find something new! "no way, no way! is it? no way! a half dime!?":clapping::thumbup:

Over all the years I've been detecting I've only found one half dime. You would think there would have been a lot of them lost as small as they are but then again they are probably beyond the depth of detection as old as they are.

Nice half dime!! The other finds aren't bad either!

I doubt they are that deep, the one I dug last year was only about 5" and the wheats in the same yard were 6-7" with it being so small I think they sink slower not faster

I am of the opinion that coins do not sink much at all but it is more a matter of vegetation being cut and decomposing building up on top of the coin especially in grassy areas like parks and lawns that are cut often. I have hunted wooded areas where there isn't much grass and the coins I've found there aren't near as deep.

Congrats on the Japenese coin.
Mine had a hole in it.
