Got out yesterday with fellow forum members DrBob and Michelob and got off to a decent start at around noon.Then things went down hill till about 7:30 and we hit a nice public hot spot and all found some nice oldies.Even if we had not done as well it would have still been a great time hunting with two other die hard guys,Ray.

That '44 merc stands out like a sore thumb amongst all those turn of the century coins.

It does look out of place but not as much as DrBobs silver Rosie he will post with his other great finds when he has time I am sureI love finding an old site like that one that has had most of the "newer" shallower stuff cleared out of the way by the Whites and or Garrett guys

Mine usualy are much worse but this site was very kind to them.I use the peroxide method that was posted about a few days ago on this very forum and it works well,Ray.
