Big copper! FINALLY!

It's taken many years for one of these to turn up under my coil. A quick spin at the park after work and I got this sweet 1820! My first large cent and new "oldest coin" It was a few feet away from another detectorist's plug and in ground I've been over a million times before. You just never know. The only other thing of note were four wheats and a little clad.

Good going Nick! I know how you feel. I just found my first large cent this summer after 40 years of detecting. Well that is one we can cross off our lists as a must find. Wow, 1820. Mine was an 1840. My oldest coin. I found mine in a place that I had been over for many years with many different detectors. It shows how how these places are never really completely hunted out.
