Big Day...Big Sliver!! :)

Hello All,
Mentioned in a previous post that I "have Etrac...Will travel". So that is what I did. Headed up to Virginia, near Leesburg to hunt my sister in laws farm. The original house was built around 1750. Was a boarding house during the Civil War. But you would never know based on the lack of "old" finds. The soil is tuff up here, loaded with iron and I guess high mineralization. (totally opposite of Fla.) Throw in the rocks and you've got your hands full. Ended up in TTF. Was really difficult till I figured out I had the tone in smooth not normal. Once I changed that it did a LOT better. As you can see from the picture, I dug a ton of stuff (not all shown). 5 hrs yesterday and 12 hrs today. One more day tomorrow.
Got a chirp under a tree 12-44/45. Really had to work the coil to get the pin point. (I was in smooth at this point) Found my first Walker at about 4-5 inches. The 3 nails in the hole with it really made it difficult. Man was I pumped. Still the only silver I found. About 35 stinkin lincolns and only 1 wheat. Still no Indians.
Thanks for looking and HH,
Bunker

thats a nice chunk of silver bro , sure be nice to pop that one out they may have remodled the yard in the teens or covered the older dirt sounds like you need a lot more time on that place to bring out more finds

A real nice mix of good finds - good job !

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Hit it again today for 9 hrs. Switched to my new 8x6 sef half way through. I think I am gonna like this coil. Found a bunch of horse tack items and a HUGE horse shoe which I was told was from a draft horse. There use to be a toll road that went in front of the boarding house back in the 1800's, found it along that path, guessing it came from one of those beasts. No more silver was found.

Congrats on your walker! I like finding the others type of finds too. You have a great spot to detect. Too bad you can't hit that place on a regular basis! Great finds!
