Dime Trifecta After The Rain

It has been dry over the last few weeks making it tough to get out and dig but the rain set in for the weekend and helped a lot. I was able to get out after all the showers on Saturday to a new spot I found. I took the hour drive down and was granted to permission to hunt around this cool old school. Right away the hunt started off great with a nice Merc and then dug two Barber dimes back to back. Well it slowed down after that and I was lucky to dig a wheat or two over the next hour. Things picked up on a lower end of the property when I dug the Rosie for a nice dime trifecta and picked up a few more Mercs. I also dug a neat old brass bell from there. Really turned out to be a great spot and worth the drive. I plan on a return trip with a smaller coil than the 13" Ultimate I was using. I'm hoping to pull a few more between the trash.

I did some creek detecting with my son on Memeorial Day and our best find was the WWII era hat pin. HH David

wow, you got yourself a good spot there, wtg. I'm sure your going to find a lot more at that spot.

Does that 21 Buff have a S mint mark and the 97 Barber, does it have a O mint mark. if they do it makes them a lil better find.

Hey Dave, correct if wrong but after reading your thread and seeing the pic, seems you got a lot more than a dime trifecta that day at that site.
