nothing exciting, but I was happy to get out and swing a bit.......5 wheats, 1954 Norway coin, about the size of a half dime. It was a solid 10-26 at 6" so I dug it, kinda interesting. Got my first silver dime of the year today even though it was raining I was determined, 1946 rosie.......but hey its silver

Congrats on your finds and first Silver of 2011.
May there be much,Much,More!

Bound and determined! I like that.

Nice job.

Congratulations on the first silver dime of the year. Looking forward to your finds when the weather gets better. -- Randy

You win the "digging the strangest foreign coin award" Terry! I think those are great finds and I'm glad you're were able to get out. Nothing like a rain to drive frost out. Tomorrow (3/6) will be exactly 1 year that I first took the E-Trac on her maiden hunt. I think I ended up with about 5 zincolns...ha! It's still frozen now though.

Thanks for the pictures. I especially like the "Jesus Saves" button!

I got my etrac on March 26th of 2010.........1 yr is quickly approaching for me as well!

Wtg on the silver... Seems like the first is always a rosie... And the Norwegian is awesome... Wish coins could talk... Like to know how it got there...

That coin from Norway is really cool Terry - it's the first coin from Norway I remember seeing posted - anywhere.
And a 1954 too - the year I was born.
Hang in there - Spring's almost here !

Good luck this season ! --- Mark

Nice Finds! Congratulations! Spring is almost here and I'm glad, my E-Trac is ripping its case open trying to get out! :jump:

Well if they could talk....you would have to understand Norwegian...:heh:

My E-Trac anniversary is June 12th which will make one year of happy hunting!

Very nice dig! Congrats.

Yesterday I pulled up 14 pennies and 6 dimes from a local Park. I didn't make it 20 yards from the truck because it kept going off. The oldest penny was 1959 and the dimes were after 1970.

This machine is a money magnet. I just have to find the right place and practice identifying better and deeper targets.

If I add the 15 pennies from my first time out last week I'll almost have a dollar.

The poor lowly Rosie, doesn't anyone love her?
Congratulations on another fine day of metal detecting! They are numbered and we should be grateful for every one. I know that this winter was agonizing to wait through and it sure is nice to be able to get out and not chip the ground away and freeze your tail off. Here's to all the nice spring days around the corner :beers:
