Have had my e-trac a little over a week now. been finding some stuff but not like i thought i would. i know it takes a little time to learn a new machine. been hunting the same places i hunted with the exp2 ........must have got most of it or i just don't have the machine set right yet ( still hunting in factory modes the dealer said i should run it that way for a while.) sorry about the quality of the pic's not to good at that yet :surrender::unsure:

Nice digs Al---congrats.----Keep at it--it'll all come together for you the more you use this silver/copper huntin monster (Etrac).------Del

Nice stuff - much better than I found my first week !
There's some very experienced E-Trac owner's that can tell you how to modify your program.
It's real easy to do - let's the big silver and gold in - if that's what your hunting.

Good Luck ! - Mark

Dang Al, looks to me like you've got a darn good start with the etrac. You said you're hunting places that you've hunted with the exp2, I never used one, but reading the explorer forum it's no slouch it looks like. I posted a pic of the niftier stuff I've found with the etrac since I got it in March. What you have posted in one week of finds would blow my finds away if you keep it up like that for 8 months time. HH ken-ks

I don't see a problem.. looks like you are doing well. Maybe you haven't swung the coil over anything else better but Mercs are good I think. What is it you that you should be finding?

i also have been out about 3x's with the new e-trac using factory prog. with a little tweak, but am not finding any deep stuff yet, maybe i am doing something wrong, are you finding things deep?i am finding modern clad down about 4-6 inches

jbow i thought i would find some deeper coin's in my old hunting sites. but i did pound those places hard with the exp2. silvereagle : i've found some stuff deep the lock was over 10 inches i found a clad quarter at about 10" also. the machine is working well i just need to get to some place where i havent been with the exp to see how it does. need more new places to hunt :)))

If you're finding 22shorts, then you probably are familiar enough with the sounds by now that you can bump up the sensitivity in manual a little bit. At least that way you can increase your depth some more. As you seem to be looking for non-ferrous in general, you might want to try the relic mode (in ferrous) which will help your odds against masking out some potentially good targets. (sooner or later you'll probably switch to relic anyway if you want a real shot at the good stuff that's missed on an older spot, and it won't take that long to learn a pull tab or a shotgun shell from something better.) Good luck!
