FIRST GOLD RING

The rain cleared today and the sun broke out about 4p.m.

I waited for the Husband and we went out for a short hunt to our current favorite old park

A park ranger happened on us and asked us to Please cover our holes and we responded appropriately and began to chat

He asked if we had found anything good in the park and we answered affirmatively , He asked if we found anything valuable like gold?
No, just historical( and yes some lovely silver coins)

Shortly after that I found this 1933 Parker H.S. GOLD RING!

I am also including a photo of a dinosaur pendant that appears to be pewter.

So nice to have you back
I just returned from England and all those low sounds and numbers for the most part were buttons and coins
The hammered silver, about the size of the tip of my pinky, came in as 11-27

So upon my return, I still dug low sounds and found this ring with 11/12-17 and a sound that was similar but different from the pull tab

Seriously, if you want gold, you need to dig alot of pull tabs

I also dug the dinosaur pendant with a low interesting sound

Very cool find, I like your description of "sounded different" that showes some good understanding of your machine and how much you use it to be able to decifer the difference. I have arround 100 gold rings now all found with Minelab explorers or E trac. They get my attention by sounding different and being in an area where rings may be found to begin with.

You know some people say that you cant hear a difference.....I dont say I agree with them...Is it your experience(after 100 gold rings)that there is a definate difference on the sound or tone that it makes?
