For those of you who write on the paper coin holders

Thought it would be neat if anyone had some that showed the date found.
Not the date of the coin, the date the coin was found!

I do that on all my coin holders, date of coin and date found.

For the past 20 or 25 years, I've kept track of my "good stuff" by writing the date found, site and even the detector and coil combination used to find them. I use to put the coins in those paper holders with the clear window in them. Then I went through a stage where I thought I needed those hard plastic holders. Now I buy those clear coin envelopes that let you put the coin on one side and a note one the other, then fold them over. That way you can open them up to see both sides of the coin, as well as the note with all the information. Makes for some fond memories during those long cold winter months. HH Randy

So far this year I have all but the finds from a couple of hunts in various cups and baggies yet to be cleaned and or posted :twodetecting:
I get a huge charge out of detecting and wondering what the next signal will be along with hunting with my detecting buddies.I am going to have to get busy cause several nice coins and a mountain of other "stuff" is accumulating :surrender:

You bet Harold, standard procedure for almost 30 years. The date of the coin, date found and where found and on the better coins, the grade. On the back I put redbook value on the better finds.
