We have about 6" of snow on the ground here in Ohio - so swinging the machine's gotten really tough. The other day I noticed that they started pushing off the snow in a local field for the construction of a new Dollar Store in our town. I asked one of the machine operators if I could hunt the exposed grass area before they pushed the topsoil off - he said sure go ahead.
It's was a pretty big area so I decided to just dig silver numbers - maybe even find some silver jewelry. It was nice to swing on grass again - didn't find any old coins but I did dig nine clad dimes, quarters and one nickel. Sure was good to see FE 12 - CO 47 on the screen again !
