Hit the beach

EZrider

New member
After the weekend i found and posted my SLQ. I figured i would go out and hit the beach with another member from here. I have been testing some patterns and settings ideas. I wanted to see how well they would do at the beach. The park hunt from before i was using two patterns. One was Andys coin pattern and the other was a high trash "modified" pattern i made. We all know how open Andys pattern is. It is what i normally use when hunting. My test was to see if the high trash pattern would hit targets the open pattern would hit. Well after that weekend im a believer. We are always told that to much notching and discrimination would mask and lose depth. Not with the ETrac. So before the beach hunt i made a heavy disc pattern and loaded it. Using different setting for the salt sand. I switched between the heavy disc and open pattern. Manual and auto +. The old adage of disc hurts detecting doesn't apply to us. When there was a null from a disc target. A good target "if any" would come through the null. An open QMask to verify. Enjoy.

Congratulations on the finds and that buff is crazy! Thanks for the info on the settings!

NebTrac

Nice !

I would really like to see ML come out with a Excal with the 28 freq FBS, pro coil, and use the multi audio. To me it would be a step in the right direction over the dated Excal/Sov. The ETrac flat out hammers on the beach. Wet or dry and gos very deep.

EZ - besides the different discrimination patterns - can you post what all your other settings were for salt water sand?
Thanks.

Sens i run Auto +3

Expert:
Deep on
Fast off
Trash low
Ground Neutral "Sens 21 or more" Ground Difficult if 20 & under

This is what i run 99% of the time. I noise cancel in the dry, damp and wet.
