I found the 2 barbers and no D 1916 Merc along with the Wheaties at a park with Bob and then headed home an hour before dark.Stopped of at another old park and found the 3 Indians and silver Rosie .The Barber Quarter was only about 6" deep but perfectly on edge.Bob ran his SE Pro over it before I dug it and said it sounded silvery but kinda strange and his cursor was dancing left and right.Sounded like silver on the E-Trac but was a bit jumpy as well. Also found the 1914 no D penny under a big root at about 8" and scratched it.Not sure I am relieved it was not a D or if it would serve me right for getting careless,Ray.
PS I found the Barber dime in less than 5 min. before Bob arrived. It was about 6" in heavy trash and has a bit of rust stain on it.Also found the box at the last park and it was empty:ranting:

Nice job Ray,I was hoping for the D's for ya,but not meant to be.
I enjoyed the hunt, and the nice weather, too bad the box didn't contain any coins.
Looks like a few organ reeds too,i have a ton of those things.
Next time you need to come to my hunt,so i can get a head start!:poke:
