I think I know why I like ferrous/2-tone so much....

I think it is the simplicity of it.... it is like a hightech "beep/dig". The CO number gives a great TID (if you use a little disc) andwell, it is a simple lowtone/high tone... beep/dig.

Also... 2 tone, at least in ferrous almost never falses when I use a slightly enlarged relic pattern.

It is easy and fun.

I haven't looked at the Relic program so please forgive my ignorance, but when you say "slightly enlarged", do you mean less or more discrimination? And where abouts are you changing it? Thanks for posting.

I'm not sure who's idea it was but they deserve a big pat on the back! I found my granddaughter's gold ring that she lost last night using it. Her smile was worth a million bucks.

same as stock only a little more. A bit bigger everywhere in proportion... not much just a little more.

I have tried different set ups, and still for me, and the sites I hunt, I find the relic screen plus a lil disc out of 01-01 thru 01-31 works the best for me, this will prevent those falses from iron wrap around

Late to post, But I was wondering if you found more coins in relic mode or more relics? Silly question maybe but the standard mode usually finds good stuff but I have noticed the stock coil actually falses too much when I am in that mode. I am not a relic finder and thought I would not want relics. However, I did find a CW sword belt buckle this year in standard coil mode.
