Into a small front yard that everyone had hunted

CT Todd

Well-known member
At a club hunt on Saturday at a location we have had a club hunt before I took the Deus into a small front yard of a 1700s house with a lot of iron. I walked in with a plan. I used my program and cranked up the reactivity to 3 and headed for the worst of the iron. 1 square nail rusted and bent 1 suspender clasp and a 1746 KGII in very nice shape. This small front yard has seen 40 guys including me before with another machine. The Deus well set up is an amazing tool.

Nice saves.. looks like you have it dialed in... Congrats

Nice finds The KG is awesome!!!! I use your program and I have to say its the best on old coppers, I found an 1816 and 2 1813's in one hole. Just want to say THANK YOU very much : )))

Well done Todd - congrats on the KG II !

Hello
I use my program which is called CTTODD. It is available at my site www.cttodd.com The only change to this program in this case in a spot with a lot of iron was to up the reactivity to 3.
Pay attention to all the settings and expert tabs when you put it in. Good luck HHunting

No machine on earth is better in iron than the deus! Excellent find CTTodd

Great find Todd. Which coil do you use the most now when you field hunt? thanks

I hunt with my 11" most of the time. I'm trying to get used to the 13" but haven't yet.

I stuck my 11 on a Anderson shaft it took the flex out of it and might help with the 13 inch coil.

I thought the coin was pretty clear so much so that as soon as I got the signal I said to myself "copper" and figured when I tired 90 degrees on it that the signal would got to crap. But it didn't. There was iron with the tone but was just far enough away from it so that I could tell they were two different targets. This was with my go to coil the 11. The suspender clip was pretty bad but just enough to make me dig it. The bent and rusted square nail was by far the best target sound of all and was what it was. There aren't many machines that wouldn't dig a bent well rusted square nail with a ground halo around it. Just part of detecting.

This is true. When I first got the deus I was so ticked off digging nails it nearly got thrown off a bridge.

I kept at it, and learned the tricks to tell with a pretty good idea of what it may be by tones and how iron reacts. I still dig iron but less frequent.
