Man lost his wedding ring wed. night and I found it this morning. He told me it was a half an ounce of platinum,,,owww...makes it hard to give it up. He will be at my house this afternoon to pick it up. At least I made this young couple very happy.

I agree,Many kudo's, you will be remembered for it.

Norm,

I think he is mad at Tom, claimed Tom hunted the area where I found it :), it was a lot softer tone than I was expecting being just a couple of inches in the sand, read 12-19, for anyone who is interested.

Joe

He's always mad at Tom. :clapping: That's kind of interesting about the 12-19 signal. That is the exact numbers I got last year when I found that gold wedding ring. Did you find it with the big SEF?

Good job finding the ring Joe !

I also found a wedding ring last week - 18 kt. gold - the woman lost it 5 yrs. ago while she was cleaning gutters on her garage.
I got lucky - found it in only 10 min. - down 3" by the walkway - came in as a FE (12) - CON ( 27).
I post the story as soon as the owner emails me a few photo's.

Your a good man sir.Great job and kind of you to return it.I did a similar thing once and the husband was very rude to me.The ring was valued at 6K and he thought he was going to collect a little insurance on it.He didn't know that his wife had contacted me to help her find the ring.Amazingly,he was the one who had lost the ring....Imagine that. What a looser, and a stupid one at that.It still won't stop me from helping people, but there are definately crooks out there.
Once again, excellent job and great story!

Norm,

Yes, I was using the 18" coil, had to switch back to the standard coil Sunday because my elbow was giving out.

They picked it up about 6:30, and were very greatfull, gave me a nice thank you note and a check for a $100 made out to our club even though I told them they didn't need to give me anything. They were extremely nice and it make me feel good to help them out.

Joe

Thanks Joe for the story and the update. Appreciate it!!
