My BEST 4 hour hunt EVER:yo: Injuns everywhere! and some silver!

Back to another one of my "hunted out" sites today. Broke my personal 30 year old record with 6 Indian heads in a day. Heck it was ONLY a 4 hour hunt so I shattered it! Four of them are 1800's Injuns and one of them was a whopping 10" deep! This is my first ever Indian head at that depth with the SE. One of them was at 9" and the others were all 7" to 8". Thought I would pop out some Barbers...but the injuns just kept comin' and that's fine by me.
The SE was going DEEEEEEEP today. My favorite find of the day was the sweet Junior Fire Marshall badge at 10" which is in nice shape and clearly dated 1955 right under the deer. Found the watch at 9"...then another piece of it...then the rest of it all within 6" of each other which was pretty cool.
Found a few wheaties..2 of which are 1910 and 1911...so just missed two more injuns. Also found the wedding band at 9" and I believe it's copper but I need to clean it first to see.
So here's the total for the day. SIX Injuns...1891...1896...1897...1898...(2) 1905's.....2 mercs..1925 and 1935...1 silver Roosey....1 sweet badge...1 wedding band....six wheaties...and a watch.
The best 4 hour hunt I can ever remember and the six injuns were all 7" to 10" deep. To have personally POUNDED this place for the last 30 years and to still be able to pull more goodies out with the SE just amazes me. Man I love this hobby!
Thanks for reading and good luck hunting.

hit only spots where the grass wasn't as long because I couldn't get my loop closer than 3" from the ground in most spots. I have been running a few different settings the last few hunts and I think they are starting to click for me.

Really sweet hunt you had. Your ground must be nice as those indian haeds sure don't look to corroded. They wheaties I have found here are usually pretty pitted and corroded.

I got out for a while today and all I could find was some Wheaties and couple tokens .I guess I have cleaned out all the silver or need your help to find it.!!!! You are well tuned on that silver, great job and good luck on your next hunt.

Wow Bryce that's some Hunt !!
When I was a young boy and in elementary school ,we would be visited by the local firemen and they would talk about fire safety and would give us each one of those Jr.Fire Marshals Badges . It was a big deal for us . The badges were supplied by the Hartford Insurance company . I have found one also , along with a few of the one size fits all Jr. Fire Marshall's ring that we were given also supplied by " The Hartford ". Thanks for the flashback .

Be sure to wear the badge when you are at the family barbecue next summer, as you pour a half can of lighter fluid on the grill to get it started! LOL

Hey Bryce...were you using the 8" stock coil, or a smaller / larger one? Just wondering what to expect for depth if I ever take off the new 1050 coil (old exp II coil) off my SE.

that each time out I learn something new. This forum has been great for teaching me things to try and I also realize that no settings are perfect for everyone...BUT I have taken each tip that anyone has ever given me over the last many months..including yourself...and incorporated it into my own personal preference. It's finally starting to click. While I got you here...thanks for the tips many months ago...if you remember helping me out.
Take care

have become an absolutely lethal one-two punch for me. I always stay out of the "what coil works best" debate as I know for a fact what works best for me. I have used the 8" coil in all the heavy trash areas months ago. I then hit the areas again WITH the 6" Excelerator over the last few weeks...and the 6" excelerator sniffed out each and every coin I have posted on ...that the 8" missed. I was amazed at what was still there sitting under....on top of..beside, etc...all the trash. The 8" coil is a great coil...but ...you would be amazed at what that little 6" coil can sniff out at 7" to 8" right in the trash that the 8" coil didn't.
