I had to pick up a load of saw dust for our horse stalls later in the day yesterday and I remembered that there's an abandoned Baseball field across the road from the saw mill.
I didn't expect to find any older coins - but the way I look at it - hunting for newer coins is better than not hunting for any coins at all !
I always bring the E-Trac with me every chance I get - even if I can only get an hour or so of hunting in. I also knew that it would be just about dark by the time I got the sawdust loaded.
I've wanted to see what hunting after dark would be like for a while now - why not ... the ET has a panel light - my Pro Pointer has a light and I also brought two little pocket flashlights with me in case I dropped something.
After a 1 1/2 hour hunt in total darkness I had dug ( 9 ) newer pennies, dimes and quarters and had a lot fun ! Night hunting is a little tougher than daylight hunting ... but it's cool !
With the days getting shorter - weather permitting - I'm planing on going a lot more night time hunts this winter!
