Please list your favorite detector of all times

Cant choose just one as each one was good in certain circumstances and tailored for each.
Beach for example excalliber, parks a Vaquero, field a sovereign. The closest one to do all and enjoy the features and functionality is currently the Legend.

Hard to choose . I have many favorites. Depends on how I feel on that day when I’m detecting lol. When I have Wheaties for breakfast, I’ll take out my talking cx111 or gti 2500. The v3i or any of the other whites machines I own . When my back and arms hurt , I’ll take out my deus11 , legend or vanquish . Waiting on the manticore.

My first machine was Sovereign GT. Then the Excalibur. Both continue to serve me well and I can not find any reason to replace them.

My favorite detector and I believe it is a favorite here from reading through the responses is the V3i. Perhaps it is my own opinion?
I believe it is because the White's Spectra V3i taught the operator to do metal detecting. The arduous learning curve causes most to give
up on the V3i. Those who practice the 3
Ps: Patience, Perseverance, Persistence I have noticed go on to make very good operators. Once they remain determined
they learn and one receives self-gratification?

Leatherneck

If it had a brighter (easier to see) screen display the Minelab E-Track would be my all time favorite.
But for now "The Legend" seems to be my favorite detector to use.
Mostly saltwater beach and shallow water hunting.

;) IMHO

I have dug more with the original f-75 than all units combined. I do like my CZ & will never sell it. . . . NOW . . I'm really liking the Deus2 because of its ability to un-mask in high target area. I like the Tarsacci at the salt beach. . . .didn't try the D2 in the salt, yet.

I think some are overrated.
They will all find close to the same things under the same exact conditions, settlings, equipment, etc, given you learn your detector. To say one will find alot more than another everything being comparable is probably more psychological bias and preference.
Not a difference to be notable anyway.
Spend whatever money on whatever brand that makes you feel better.

Still to this day my favorite detector I have ever used, and is probably the most underrated detector to have ever been produced, that would be the Mine Lab Xterra 705, still a vary capable detector
I had both the 505 and 705, they were the first ones i had tried with “ numbers”
I remember I couldn’t get them to settle down at first and the numbers just kept jumping around. I wanted to wrap them around a tree lol.
Each only lasted a couple weeks. Now i look at it differently, wish i had them to try out knowing what i know now.
Probably why i hate tdi so much, xterra ptsd lol

have you ever used a TDI, TDI had no Numbers it is a PI (Pulse Induction detector) a Beep and Dig or rather a threshold Zip Zip and Dig

I meant vdi. The xterra had a screen that would display numbers. I went from the sovereign not using vdi to the xterra for lightness.i also had tesoro at the time which is basically beep and dig and then got the excal for the beach.
Never had a PI although i thought about it for the beach

There was way more to the Xterra especially the Xterra 705 than met your eye it was just a great all around detector with a true prospecting mode just a fantastic detector all together, once someone took the time to learn all of its capabilities, and trust me there was a lot to learn on the Xterra 705

not sure if it is still up or not, but if you are into reading, if you can find it there is a book written by a gentleman by the name of Randy Horton he went by Digger on the forums

the book was called understanding your Xterra it was geared towards all the Xterra Detectors not just one of them
