Hi everyone,
I've been having fun with some sidewalk strips lately. The first couple of pictures are from a 15' X 60' strip next to a 1888 church (now museum) in my town that I hit on Friday. The strip is pretty littered with iron chunks, sprinkler lines, and roofing nails, but the ol' E-Trac did manage to sniff out a couple of keepers. I was surprised that both were only about 4" deep.

1957-D Rosie was only a one-way hit due to all the iron trash surrounding it (nicked another one :veryangry

Next, I obtained permission from a lady at my church to hunt the sidewalk strips around her 1920 home. She also told me her house was a parsonage for a church that once stood where her back yard is. She said I could hunt the whole yard if I wanted to.
The next two pictures are what I pulled from a 10' X 50' sidewalk strip on one side of her lot today. All the keepers were 5" deep. I seemed to be having a bit of a challenge dealing with the "hot rocks" today--I was getting a fair amount of good target signals at 01-35 (I've found several IHP's with these numbers in the past). After pulling a plug, the good signal would disappear and I was able to confirm the false signal was being caused by the aggregate I pulled out of the hole.

1941-D Merc--these little beauties always put a smile on my face!

I still have a lot more area to cover around her house. I'm hoping the rest will be as productive as today was.
Thanks for looking and good luck on your next hunt!
