Some Finds

Well it has been slim pickings lately

But the weather has been great and I am detecting and nothing wrong with that

Below are two Large Cents, a Washington Quarter and a small child's sterling ring

The ring came up like a penny probably because it is so small
The ring and 1935 LC are my finds and the other LC (no date legible) and the 1939 Washington is Brian's finds
I will try to put up our Silver finds for the year but we just started identifying who got what so it is OUR FINDS FOR 2011
I am waiting for after January 1 because I still want to find SILVER

Congratulations on the finds. I'm looking forward to the "totals" picture.

I have never found one of the large cents.....I am due.....;o)

I was detecting almost 2 years (with that other detector) and I thought I was digging a Quarter
I removed the coin from the hole and rubbed it and saw ONE CENT
I dig on my knees to save my back and as I realized what I had..
I held up both my hands looked up and waited for the MUSIC

I had wanted a Large Cent ever since I started detecting and it was a profound moment for me
They say you always remember your First and it has been my oldest LC thus far, A beautiful 1810 LC

YOU ARE A HOOT:lol:

Congratulations on the Large Cents, to me "Nothing says old like a Large Cent!"

A small correction...The LC is 1835 not 1935

I know you all realized it but I wanted to correct the error

Thank You for all the nice and funny comments

banditcey, Nice group of finds. All I have accomplished lately is doing some research on some spots for nicer weather. Still have not found a large cent. HH.

Very nice finds - Large Cents are really cool !

Congrats on the LC's and silvage - can't believe that we're still able to get out and put shovels in the ground! Awesome.

Congrats on the large cent. Still looking for my first. I have the very same child's ring, though. Found it this summer here in Southeast Missouri.
Happy Hunting and Merry Christmas.

The only other thing ever found in the park was a 1876 seated dime

And the last amazing sound of 12-46 clear and loud for the LC

Thats cool... Went out today to film with Garrett and found my two oldest US coins an 1852 3 cent and a 1854 half dime.. I will post in a few.. so excited right now I'm still shaking... lol
