Sun Ray Gold Headphones

Hello,

After reading several positive comments on the Sun Ray Gold headphones. I decided to purchase a set. After receiving them in the mail, I tried them out and didn't nearly get the performance I expected. With the etrac's volume limit set to 10 and the headphone volume maxed, the volume was much lower than what I get with the Koss headphones. I tried every headphone switch sequence possible and still no change. Thinking there was something wrong with the headphones, I sent them into the manufacturer...the manufacturer says there's nothing wrong with them. Is there anyone else out there having similar issues? Am I missing an etrac adjustment somewhere? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

The E-Trac came from the factory with a volume preset of 30. The Sun-Ray Pro Gold headphones are an excellent match for most Minelab machines I know mine work very well on my E-Trac. With that said why not go back to the factory default of 30 and adjust the volume on your headphones down if need be. My hearing is not very good so I have to run my phones higher than most but sounds like your hearing is much better. I may be wrong but if your machine is only running 1/3 at 10 then going to 30 and turning down the headphones should help. I hope so. HH :minelab:

I know this is a old post. I just got my pro golds yesterday. I have the volume set on 30. Headphones are set about 1/2. And they are plenty loud on my E-Trac. I turned them wide open just to see. Thought I was going to pop a eardrum. I have my limiter turned off.
