How much does it weigh?-----The pictures you showed--it looks like a Capped Bust Heraldic $5 half eagle (gold).----But your measurements doesn't "mesh".----Authentic coin measurements & weight should be as follows---Diameter: 25.00mm/0.99 inch-----Weight: 8.75 grams/0.28 ounce------Metallic Content: 91.67% gold, 8.33% copper and silver-----Weight of pure gold: 8.02 grams/0.26 ounce.-------Your coin could well be a counterfeit or a "fake" coin-----BUT---if it is this (authentic) coin I just described---you can (almost) retire off of it!-----My advice would be---have an expert, HONEST coin dealer look at it----and don't let the coin out of your sight while he/she is doing it!------------Deljoedirt said:Yeah, I pulled out my ammo caliber.
