Unexpected Find!

Yesterday I was able to take off and go hunting. It had been a week since my last hunt and I had the itch for silver. I found a lot of clad at the first park and was about to quit when I found a 1942 Washington quarter. That made me stay longer. A little while later I got another good hit. It was a 1961D Rosie. Things started to slow way down so I moved on to another site. My first good target there was a 1935 Mercury dime. Then I found something very unexpected. I got a deep hit. The conductivity number was 31. When I swept from another direction, it changed to a consistent 34. I was thinking it was an Indian Head cent as I dug. Then I got a big surprise...a Civil War 3-ringer bullet!!!!! I couldn't believe it and just kept staring at it. What a hunt! Dan

Good job Dan !

I enjoyed your video Dan and congratulations on that Minie ball and silver............

Real nice, Dan!!

Always love your vids!! Appreciate you adding in those full-dig scenes!

Definitely looks like there was a piece of iron on that Washington.

I found a few large three ring bullets at an old park here in S. Cal. They're not civil war era like yours is, but late 1800's. They're called buffalo killers.

Very cool CW bullet you've found...you just never know!
