What's bigger then a HUGE day?

Went to a local park and immediately found a mans sterling ring, I decided to listen for those deep signals. First coin was a 1924 Wheatie at about 8 inches ringing up 36-38. A little while later a DEEP 37-38 signal showing about 10 inches, out pops a 1901 Barber half dollar right about 9 inches or so. Couldn't believe my eyes. Had to step back and take a long breath!! I was definitely not expecting that. Shortly there after I pulled out a 1918D Merc. This was an awesome day for me.
Thanks for looking,
HH,
Bunker

I thought I had a good day with a sterling silver heart pendant and about 60 clad coins, around $8. You made me jealous. I think i would fall over if I found that big silver dollar. Care to tell your settings and coil?

Hey Bunky- WTG ..a great hunt to kick off the weekend and set the bar REALLY high for the rest of us. Wishing everyone out there happy hunting & good luck . I'd like to know if the ring id'd as silver on the graph & it's tid number?

And to think on the other forums people are saying the Safari won't go as deep as other machines. We know that is male bovine dung. Great job! HH :minelab:

Hi all, just got back from a date night with my wife to celebrate!! Thanks for all the replies and nice comments. My machine is set up for all metal, high trash, auto-sensitivity. No headset. The silver ring was a solid 37, no wavering. I was actually talking to a friend and said to him, "here is a dime, I'm not too proud, I dig it." And BAM the silver ring. It was about 1 inch. I would have thought it would have been a 38-39. Ya just never know!
Good luck this weekend!

Thanks Bunky- I do try but, still can't get use to all metal for long periods of time. No head phones at all ? Like others have posted, I'd feel like the pied piper if I didn't use head phones. I like the celebrate/date night idea....perhaps an attempt to get the little lady involved with md'ing, thereby increasing the time in the field for you ? Hmmmmm, I do like that :twodetecting:

Hershey1- Agreed, as we've experienced, depth is not a shortcoming of the Safari.

Outanding job - looks like you had a fantastic day !

Thanks etrac ohio. It was a great feeling to see it come out of the ground. My oldest coin to date, hoping to break the century mark soon. Thanks for looking,
