YEEHAA I FOUND MY DREAM FIND

WOW I am still buzzing,I went to the old railway station in the picture,i found a few older pennies and other bits when I got this really good hit (12:20),thinking it was just another old teartab I dug it up carelessly, when I saw the shin of gold I thought that's strange a dollar coin that deep and its still nice and shiney. As soon as I picked it up I knew what it was,a 1908 22kt gold sovereign well my legs turned to jelly,I went light headed, and leapt around like a spring lamb, just as well there was no one around I think they would have locked me up.I just had to go to the pub and have a fix, till my knees stopped knocking.
I went back and spent another hour at the same spot, thinking it might have been part of a hidden cashe.
But hey I was more than happy with just the one,Thats one more tick off the bucket list.......KJ

Wow ... congrats on a KILLER find ! :clapping:

Congrats, Jim! It's always interesting to see what folks in other countries are finding. Does it have a lot of collecting value? Was that your first gold coin? I've yet to find one, but I hunt an area from time to time that has produced some gold coins over the last several years....just not for me.

A HUGE Congratulations to you Jim! That will go down as a "once in a lifetime" find for anyone! Thanks for the great pictures.
