    How do *you* make the decision to dig a "ring"?

    My MXT hits gold rings at vdi of 20 32 42 & of course 14-16 I find most of my rings read a constant vdi in all directions so with these readings I will dig every time.

    what to get: v3i or vx3 need advice

    I know depth is not everything but it is hard to put out the cash for either one & not be able to have seen it in action. For now I will stick with my MXT & maybe some day I will be able to see a v3 in action.

    If they were both about the same depth I would go with the vx3 & put the difference toward other coils? Maybe Larry has had the chance to use both & can inform the forum as to depth comparison between the vx3 & the v3i

    What I would give to have a dealer that would let me test drive one of these machines. For me I have to drive 50 miles to find a dealer & then they only have the VX3. So unti lI move I guess im stuck with the MXT.

    rename the v3 to the bellagio

    If I only had the problem of having someone with a V3 around my part of the country that could help me learn it, I would buy one. I love the design of the V3 but in my area the MXT I have is about the top of the line MD around. So until I get enough guts to go for the best & figure it out myself...

    Anyone compare the 6x10 to the 6x8 or 10x12

    I have a MXT & use the 6x10 dd coil most of the time, i have been hearing alot about the butterfly coils & hope someone out there has used both types. Mainly what I am looking for is a coil that will go deeper than the 6x10 I had a 12" coil & it didn't seem to go that much deeper than the 6x10...

    6 x 10 Eclipse !

    Not a V3 owner but use the MXT & with it the D2 is not much deeper than the 6x10 in fact I find more coins at greater depth with the 6x10 than I do with the D2. Am I doing somethin wrong with the D2 even in a air test the D2 only gets 1/2 inch more if that? I ground it the same way, run it at 4...
