    Just seen where Dan-Pa. a long time member on here has passed away!! Read it on another forum.

    we exchanged emails a few times. The thing that impressed me about Dan-PA is that he never posted anything that was negative or angry at anyone. He was always calm. I am hearing he was the CZ guru....in my case he also was the XLT god. RIP Dan-Pa gilbert

    California utility poles are multi purpose

    Yes, this is our power pole located on a semi busy corner.....does your community allow yard sales? do they have them? does your pole look like this. this is where the signs go..usually people go back and pick up their signs....sometimes they dont...looks tacky if they dont. if its a metal...

    Posting this for newer members...probably a repeat

    notice the flower it is star shaped ... i just love it. it starts out with a "bud" that has 5 sides. The "bud" will open where you see the "seams" and the flower will be exposed when it opens. Its a no name (for me) succulent. I have a picture of the red rectangular pot where the succulent...

    Back to the drawing board

    I have a birdfeeder for birds bigger than sparrows and i use sunflower seeds to feed them....the seeds are larger and i noticed the seeds would clog the bottom of the clear plastic.....so i put piece of PVC spinkler riser to make the opening bigger......BAD idea...twice now the little birds...

    I hope you dont mind my posting my cactus flowers again....yes, im cactus nuts.....most of them or all have a bee in there even the one that looks like a jungle in the flower....the pictures were taken with my Iphone.....im no purist :thumbup:

    A few years ago :usaflag:

    A local soldier lost his life in one of the current middle east wars and his family met him at the airport and he was taken to the funeral home.....my grandson and i went to show our respect from the side of the road....local residents and employees in the area also came to show their respects...

    Flag :usaflag: Raiser in Training

    Training the almost 2 yr old Gdson (Bryson) about the flag.....he had a hard time seeing the end result since the flag was 25 ft up and we were right next to the pole but i think he had fun...he needs more practice :clapping:

    Here are a couple more pics from my yard

    The poppies are in my front yard.....i planted them once and they come up annually and theyll be around probably another 3 weeks.....i normally collect the seeds ....they come in a pod on the plant. The other plant ive had for at least 20 yrs...i usually donate or give away the pups that grow...
