    Sounds to me he is in the UK, if that is the case: 2.5 kHz - good for bigger targets and high conductors 7.5 kHz - Good all-rounder. 22.5kHz - Good for small, thin targets like hammered coins. Also good for low conductors. :detecting:

    It's so new it seems any UK programs are not up and running quite yet. Just experiment for yourself in the beginning until programs pop up.:detecting:

    Recovery test.

    You disc out the nail then check how close you can get the nail to the coin until it turns to a blanking, or "no dig" sound.

    Meteorite mode dead on.

    I also was thinking "Are you sure it's a meteorite?" There are mineralized rocks that can cling to a magnet and such to. Easy to mistake.
