    Explorer and Etrac Users?

Without starting a battle, I was just wondering how many of you explorer users got an etrac, and whether you are using it or ended up sticking with the Explorer.. or if your using both equally I got one when they first came out, used it a month and then its sat in my closet, I amde some good...

    A little more controversy

The reason I posted below was to show the changes in the etrac as compared to the explorer.. What I am trying to get across is the junk was tighter on the explorer.. much easier to disc out and not affect a lot of other good targets... For instance a simple nail and crown cap reject screen...

If you want to see how variable the targets can be

just look through the patterns preloaded.. and why is it the nail and crown cap pattern are set to accept them not reject? or am I missing somethiong again? I cant reverse them like I could with the explorer, unless I have to load them and then use edit?

    E-Trac finds so far

Hers my better stuff found so far with the Etrac.. most from a new site.. only three old coins from there with it though.. should be more.. the front yard is one solid iron null and have only managed a few shallow wheats from there, that is where the best stuff should be.. Pretty quiet now...

Don in S NJ, you still post here?

If so email me, I got a Connecticut copper I can not ID from Breens book, its a 1787 AUCIORI type, but its neither of the two listed in the book... might be a new variety.. a little beat up but good enough to read most of it, a bit off struck

    12-30

Today I got a V nickel that read solid 12-29 jumping to 30, was about 5 inches deep, was surprised when a nickel popped up, was hoping for an on edge indian or something.. after digging it read 12-14 out of the hole and going over the empty hole produced nothing but threshold and same rechecking...

    1-40

Dug this last night, was reading a solid and unwavering 1-40, I guess I better accept more of the 1 fe numbers.. I get a lot of falsing with 1-32- 1-38, now I am wondering if the indians are reading up there in iron or something, as I have only found one in over a month... I usually get a dozen...

well I been playing around with settings and today I am impressed

A bit of iron testing, and today I made the etrac do some pretty amazing stuff.. if it can repeat it in the field this may turn out to be some killer in the iron. I know what I had to do may give me more falsing, especially in conductive audio but might be worth it.. I hope I can get a video...

    Ray and all...

I have all kinds of coils, two pro coils, SE coil, X12 X8 X5, and I get pretty much the same results with all of them, Also I get plenty of depth with all of them on my explorers... of course the smaller coils do better on any iron test than the big ones... Anyway If anyone wants to do a video...

    Some Relic readings

Added some relics to my list.. as you can see buttons can read all over, even same types.. probably has to do with condition and make up of button and the soil they were in.. anyway here is the list.. I have lots of different relic stuff, if anyone wants a reading on anything specific, if I have...

you guys getting the deeper coins

are you running fast off, deep on? or what? Do me a favor next time you think you got a deep signal and switch to fast on deep off if not running there already.. I always used fast on my explorers cause I like the way the audio sounded... but if I have to switch to deep thats OK, but wonder if...

    a couple of iron patterns

the one ironnofalse is pretty good for sites with little modern trash.. it does allow some rusty tin and crown caps to come through.. Still trying to figure out how little I can disc out without affecting too much, but this one worked for me at several cellar holes even using conducive audio...
  13. J

Well I have a pattern that eliminates most falsing in iron

and still keeps a lot of the screen open, even in conductive its usable.. will upload it later tonight if any one wants to try it.. only thing you might add is a notch in teh 1-50 range if you have hot rocks.. cause yes it does hit hard on them, at least the ones up here.. but its such a high...

    Results of todays hunt

First off let me say I am an idiot.. after doing the air tests this AM, I decided to just toss the etrac in the car... of course I forgot I was doing the air test without head phones, so drove the 45 minutes and walking a quarter mile in the woods before realizing I had no head phones.. Oh well...

    Off to the button hole

my best site ever.. thousands of colonial buttons, buckels etc maybe 40 early pre 1845 coins... I still find an occassional button each trip, but not a coin in a year or so.. taking the pro, X8 and X5.. will try relic mode two tone ferrous and dig everything that reads the higher tone... will...
