    Omega 8500 beachcombing

I think the Technetics Omega 8500 is more suited for inland coin / relic hunting. There are many other detectors more suited for saltwater MDing . you might check YouTube videos to see what detectors are being used to be successful for saltwater. This forum and others probably have water...

Hi need some advice on the X terra elite

My advice is to dig a few of the targets that you suspect is trash to verify using your horseshoe button method to see . Then mainly focus on the audio . how clean, clear or how crackling, popping it may be. Audio helps me determine what I do and don’t dig . That applies to any detector .

    Deeptech Onyx?

I see , just a beginner model. Too bad they don’t try to make an analog CZ 5 copy , an improved version, with an analog meter, multi frequency. house it in a Vista X box and give it an 8” DD coil . Price it around $700 -$1000 That would sell !!!! 😃. ah crap , I was dreaming!!!!!!!

Could a continuously running depth meter be included in a future update??? One that shows target depth Without pressing the pinpoint button??? It would be very useful for the D2 . 😃

Garret has acquired Whites. Great news!

I don’t think they were enemies. They were more like fierce competitors that drove each other to improve and one up each other. They progressed and both had great innovations.Whites had contributed greatly to the Metal Detecting World. Whites might be gone . But will never be forgotten!! 🇺🇸😃🇺🇸

Question for Deeptech Vista X users.

Is the audio good enough to distinguish between US nickels and pull tabs. It seems that the VistaX is more of a relic detector. Just wondering how it fares for coin hunters??? dealing with aluminum bits (slaw) ??
