    V3i MXT emulaion program settings?

Hey there. I have a V3 and have read that the V3i has an MXT emultion 'program'; would like (if such is the case) to enter the settings into my V3. Is there such a mode? I hesitate to upgrade to the V3i, since I've read that the ground tracking has been slowed down and the ground where I hunt...

    Problems with my AT Pro

Well, I picked up a used AT Pro from another member on this forum and only recently got to do anything with it (illness). Well, the problem is, once it's been turned off and turned back on again, it loses it's settings and defaults to coin mode and full sensitivity. Did a factory reset and it...

A question about V3 MF depth vs...

Dude, that would rock! I had a couple of Infiniums (at different times) and, while they are decent PI's, I couldn't stand the dragging tones and no manual GB. Was looking at the TDI since it seems to be a more 'flexible' machine, but I'd have to get rid of one to get the other. I already have...

A question about V3 MF depth vs...

Hey there Larry. I was kinda hoping somebody from White's might get curious and check things out. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to find out that they've actually done such tests. Steve Hershbach did some testing, a while ago, on some nuggets and came up with some impressive results. Thing is...

A question about V3 MF depth vs...

Okay, here's what I'm trying to figure out. The multifrequency operation of the V3 (and BBS/FBS, CZ's) is supposed to enable better depth in bad ground.. am I right? Now, has anyone compared a decent PI (TDI, Minelab, Infinium) with the same sized DD coils to a V3, and what kind of difference...

    Garrett AT Pro coil problems..

I just got my AT Pro and was informed (after I bought it) that the coil exhibited some problems. Anyway, I put the detector together, turned it on and, sure 'nuff, holding the coil up a bit and twisting it from side to side made the coil false like crazy! Oh noes! Well, I decided to try...

    prospecting mode settings

What I'd really like to find out is how the V3 handles really tough and variable ground while prospecting. Seen some reports that it rivals the GMT in regards to small gold sensitivity. Haven't read much from anyone using one for nugget hunting. Would be interesting to see how one stacks up...

    prospecting mode settings

I DK if the V3i differs too much from the GMT and MXT re. reading the ground and such, but I found it to be a nice theory that had little practical value when I was prospecting. First, it's easy enough to just eyeball a stream bed to see where the blacks & gold would lay down and, second, in a...

By the skin of my teeth..

Managed to get an AT Pro that was for sale on another major forum (initials would be T.T.D.), and do so by only 1 min! Early bird and the worm or what? So far it's been a mild but wet winter here (a beautiful brown X-mas) and bow that I've had my MRI & pin-test I'll have another 6 months till...

    It's all your fault, Larry!

Has there been any further thought put into a comparison/field test forum? I popped by the views forum and that's pretty much a joke when it comes to such things. Great for finding out about U2 spyplanes and congress hearings and, who knows, local garbage strikes. ..Willy.

Trying to decide between a V3i and F75

I've had the F75 (notice the past tense?) and have the V3 now. All I'll say, at the risk of getting 'spanked' by the moderators, is that a V3 can emulate an F75 but an F75 can't emulate a V3. Also, if you're used to an XLT, the V3 will feel like coming home.. except to a much nicer house. ..Willy.

Not a comparison, but a question about capability..

Yup, would probably turn into a free-for-all.. or maybe not. I know of another site that successfully incorporates one. The thing is, people are constantly getting slapped down for posting comparisons or asking for them, just saying "No you can't.. BAD poster, BAD!" won't work and isn't working...

Not a comparison, but a question about capability..

Hey Larry.. why don't they have a dedicated comparison/field test forum? Seems kinda stupid not to 'cause people are always making comparisons. Feedback and Views forum.. c'mon, that's a bit of a crock. ..Willy.

Not a comparison, but a question about capability..

Up here in Canada the coins can be a real bear to find. With the MXT I basically hunted well into iron acceptance and had to keep a close eye on the screen (or dig a whole lotta iron trash). This (the problems associated with our ferrous coins) was compounded by the ground mineralization...
