:detecting: Bought some new batteries and got "voltage overload" :ranting:

To make a long story short. My wife threw away all of our old cell phone chargers and tossed my Etrac wall charger out as well. It was plugged into the wall !!!!!!! Anyway - I bought some of those Energizer Lithium batteries figuring they would last a long time? I mean they say they will...

    Info on an Alpha?

Thinking about making a waterproof Alpha. I need to know if the buttons are separate from the face membrane or is it part of the membrane? I see the buttons are raised up so I'm not sure if water can migrate inside around the buttons? Can't tell from the pictures..... Thanks.

:detecting: Civil War button pro's - What is this?

Looks like a Pettibone Bros. MFG Texas Coat Button. It's solid brass and 7/8 inch in diameter. So mad that I nicked the back! At least you can't see it from the front. What about it's value? I want to write an info card for it. I can't seem to find the exact button?

:detecting: Anyone use the 15inch Coiltek WOT on a :minelab: Etrac on a salt beach? Or should I outfit it with the stock coil? I will be in the w

I get to Florida every 4 years or so. Last time I took my BHID and did ok. This time I'll use my Etrac and probably concentrate on the wet sands at low tide. I may take something lighter in weight for the dry sand? I have the 15 inch WOT and wanted to see if the extra coverage vs stability...

:twodetecting: Pristine Whites Coinmaster for sale. Over 22 months warranty left. :twodetecting:

One of my friends thought he wanted to get into hunting about 2 months ago. I bought a new Coinmaster for him to try. We hunted about 2 hours at his property and he found several coins and stuff. He decided it wasn't for him. So I'm just going to sell it. They cost $179.95 plus shipping...

New Amphibious Machines coming out?

I would have thought that the other major players would have come up with an Atpro type machine. It was rumor that Teknetics was in the process of a new waterproof machine when the Atpro was released. Usually other manufacturers jump on the band wagon when a hot machine comes out. Look at...

Urgent information for anyone near Colorado Springs! Or if you know a hunter in that area? Please read!!

Me and my family went to Colorado for Thanksgiving. My friend tells me about a lake that is now dry because of the drought. I checked it out on-line and read the town rules. There is no rules against metal detecting. I then do an ebay and Google search for pictures and post cards. I found...

    Titanium Ring TID's?

Bill_S and I are looking for a medium men's titanium ring that was lost. We figured it was in the foil through tab range? I set up my machine and opened up the 12 line with the 5 block from 1 through 30 CO. Surely it would have hit it there somewhere? Anyone have some Ti rings to test? Thanks.

:minelab: Xterra rod assembly and Control box trading.

Over the past few years I have been involved in buying and trading just the control heads on the Xterra's I have owned. Just wondering how many others have done this to save money and shipping? I remember trading my 30 head for a 50 and then for a 70 with a little cash. Also wondering if...
