Here in Cornwall my season is just starting, most of the tourists have now gone home. During the summer I gave up detecting as I mostly do beaches around here but the weather was hot and with no wind the sand was getting deeper and deeper every week but now the winds are picking up they will...

    Going crazy!!!

Went to a beach on the opposite side of the County the day after, the 800 seemed to be running better but not perfect, may have to bring out my Detector Pro Wader from retirement.

    Going crazy!!!

Went down the beach the other day when my nox 800 went crazy, beeping all the time and giving loads of different numbers, I removed the skid plate twice and washed it off I also removed the coil from the machine which seemed to help but sometimes still goes mad sometimes. Any ideas please.

    Equinox 2 on the horizon?

I have the same problem at the moment. All my beaches have very deep sand so not worth detecting on. The other week I went away for a few days a hundred miles away as checking the web cam of the area showed that the beach was totally washed out but all I found was loads of lead and a few old...

The Equinox obsolete? I do not think so!!

They are only obsolete when they no longer work. My detector pro wader with the Blue shaft still works after about 12 years and is great in very rocky areas.

You seem to be finding fishing weights the same as me, the other day I went down to one of my usual beaches and found a very dense area of sand that was very hard to dig but all I found was 28 fishing weights. two days later I went back to find the Gold but again all I found was another 12...

Thanks for that, I was thinking that was the only thing that it could be as it was little used as I could not get on with it so I purchased a Nox 800.

    Sea hunter II

Good morning. I have a Sea hunter which I have not used for a couple of years. The divers visor was clear when I checked it but after I put in the battery pack the screen went cloudy and has stayed cloudy, it had not been used in deep water or used whilst diving, can anyone help with this...

As far as I know not a lot of Roman occupation around here but I mainly do the beaches, one beach I go to Roman coins have been found so people were coming on holiday down here back then. There was a lot of trade with the med up to 4,000 years ago so there are about 6,000 ship wrecks off the...

    I cannot wait for Autumn

Here in Cornwall we are having possibly the busiest summer ever as people cannot go abroad. A report the other day said that thee were about 12-14 thousand people on one of our beaches and we have 300 around here. It is impossible getting a parking space and the traffic jams are miles long so I...

    First beach hunt

Went to one of my local beaches for the first time this year on Sat it was like a bank holiday weekend in August but everyone kept their distance from each other. Found a few coins including a 6d but then I had a weird signal which turned out to be a crystal about an inch long with a silver...

Haven't seen any good post lately.

The police would arrest me as it's an easy collar, very warm at the moment, 12c last night, as we stick out into the Atlantic we don't get the weather that they get in England. Not long to wait now though.
