    AT Pro gets the gold

    Found this 1944 class ring with the AT Pro and the 5x8DD coil in a mega-trashy area at about 3-4 inches deep. The VDI jumped from 69-70. It is a 10K ring. The part that identified the school was gone when I dug up the ring. You can see where it attached to the top of the ring.

    How long does the V3i need to ID a target?

    I lowered the Recovery Delay to 45 and wow! The ground seemed to come alive! I am not exaggerating when I say I hunt trashy parks. So I wonder, why hunt with longer Recovery delay settings at all? Am I missing deep targets with the faster RD? How long does the V3i need to id a target?

    Yes, it may be a thermister. My battery pack gets really, really hot when it finally decides to start charging. Then the charge only lasts 30 minutes tops.
