    Some of the 10d coils are not very good i hardly ever use them , they are also very sensitive to emi.

    Faster VX3

    Use a deeper buried coin in your test garden and play and adjust it till you see it drop off. Your setting for 5,10 high and band pass make a difference as well, i believe 5 band is deepest. But requires slower sweep speed.

    The v is deep, just need the right settings . Could be your coil, Rx, try running in 5 band pass, and 60-80 on recovery.

    The lower the recovery delay at a point depth drops off, so be careful.

    Got my Whites 5.3 coil for my V3i today

    The 5.3 is very deep, i dug a 32 cal bullet from over 10 inches with the detech 4.5x7 excel coil. And they are on sale right now at Kellyco for 50 bucks and the 6 inch round coil too.

    Went out to my coin garden with my V3i

    My 3 v3i's have all been very deep on test targets in soil. But i have noticed you have to have them set just right and it is EXTREMELY easy to change one setting and make it where it will not hit a 6 inch coin.
