DEPTH OR RATHER LACK OF IT.

Robber there are machines that will hit dime at 12" but they're not going to do it wheres a lot of trash. Dan Dankowski says that most silver coins in places like parks are either too deep or masked. To find the masked coins you have to have a small coil and dig a lot more. A large concentric...

    Disconnect problem

IDX it disconnect with or w/o the speaker attached and the WM 10 is fine. Runs good till I've swung it several minutes. Talked to a ML dealer "guru" and we think we either have a loose sound connection in the processor or possibly a circuit board going out. If its that will have to make some...

    Disconnect problem

Guys sorry I'm late getting back to yall. Took it back out yesterday before deciding whether to send back(for 4th time) Same problem. I purposely let it run for 20" on table then 20" sitting up. No problems at all. Then about 20 minutes into hunt quit relaying sounds when passing object. I'm...

    Disconnect problem

I've had this problem for almost 2 years. The CTX will be working fine then I suddenly realize I'm not picking up signals. Same problem when I change coils. Have sent to ML twice. They send it back saying no problem found but it typically does not begin until I'm 30 minutes into a hunt so I can...

    9" HF Coil

Ive noticed in these "coil choice" questions the writer often does not say what they are primarily looking for which is vital. These are my choice.s X35 9 and 11 for coins. Being able to "norm off" is a big advantage if coin hunting. HF 9" primarily relic hunting. The 9.5 my choice for the...

    17" coil....yea or nay?

Any larger double D coil can be expected to provide about an extra 1" of depth. And if you swing it in heavy trash, the harness will be the least of your problems. But since you've bought it try this. Find spots in say old parks where the trash is much lighter then try putting it in manual if...

I have had to quit a site because of dogs ripping my holes out.

Prof remember you from 3030 commentaries. You still swinging it? If you were even able to dig 500 holes in a field with your depth of knowledge, would hate to see you have to leave it. Go back every year or so dig a few holes fill back in he will conk out eventually then go back.. Best.

7 Inch Concentric on Anfibio is producing on my heavily worked site.

Hey Monte, I remember you as a contributor on the Deus site. Was considering a Simplex for some water hunting but was wondering what you liked about the concentric coil. I know its deeper than a DD but isn"t that mainly for larger coils?(Sorry about your loss. My headphone and puck were recently...

3 day hunt out of state hunt

Thanks Sube, really appreciate info Did have one question. You meant set FE to 31 on tones rather than lower since below will open to more small nails right?

3 day hunt out of state hunt

Hey Sube, Paul here. Long time CTX and Deus owner. I know you do a lot of hunting in the trash( i like the challenge myself although a nice break to do relics nice sometimes) Heres my question. I know trash is where the treasure is but I also know that some trash usually caps will completely...

    Coil Depth Question

I agree with one caveat. Unfortunately some trash mainly caps will totally mask a good target even with a small coil which begs that old question do you dig them or pass. Ive done both sometimes with good results(Ill still take a smaller coil any day)

    Audio question

This is for you Deus gurus out there. I've been with this machine several years and still my favorite but hear goes. I almost always run audio on 3 to help with the deep stuff. Am I corrects that a higher audio setting does not actually "see" a deeper target say a target at 10 inches but rather...

How good is the XP Deus on coin shooting?

One factor which has not been addressed is the role of target masking in modern trash. E.G. a bottle cap will totally mask a smaller coin if close enough. Marked off a 10x10 plot in an old park one day where trash is terrible but old coins are very shallow. Dug 50 caps and tabs then went back...

    kfz question

For those of you who have worked with the E-trac/CTX do you have a preference for the "combined" frequency which works much like these FBS machines, or do you prefer the single or multiple single frequency feature more? Just curious.

    CTX problem

OK here's the deal. Have had the CTX about 10 years now so yes its out of warranty but that's not the reason I've come close to selling it. I already have 2 Deus's its a great machine but so is the CTX complementing each other in situations where the other is stronger(e.g CTX better water...
