    Core pro pack coils

Hi all. I just sold my Frenchie machine and am looking hard at the Core pro pack. I'm thinking this would be a great package for an all around field and home site style of detecting. I know the shooter coil is superb at separation, but what are you folks thinking about the other two coils...

    Deus for sale

I have an XP Deus up for sale cheap! I purchased this unit new last fall from jmt detectors. It is the WS4 package with the 9"coil, and works great. I just bought another one with the 11" coil and the wife is getting a little vocal, so this one needs to go! Like I said, works well, no scratches...

A few hunts worth of finds

Just some of the goodies I've been lucky enough to dig here in Michigan so far. Hoping to get a few more hunts in before crops are planted. I run the Deus with WS4 hp and 9" coil. Typically run 18kHz, sensitivity from 85-90, reactivity 2, disc at 10, silencer at +1. Pretty tame settings, but...

Think I found my first Civil War button.

Found these two buttons today at a school site no less here in Michigan! Looks like just a general service button, but I'll take it! I also found what looks like a wanna be dollar gold coin button. Any further help or confirmation on these two finds would be great! Thanks!

Sundial, security badge, and some whatsits..

Made it out to an early 1800s site for an hour tonight. Found an old pocket sundial, what's left of a security badge, what looks like a very old lipstick container, some type of ornate clip, and a female decorative piece.

    Two firsts this evening.

I started this fall season with the hopes of digging my first shield nickel, half dime, and large cent. Well it's been accomplished! Found my half dime earlier in the season, along with two shield nickels, and tonight I dug my first large cent and my first V nickel, ( I had forgotten that I've...

    Buckle id

Okay guys, being in Michigan the only CW related find I've ever dug was a McClellen token last year. But I seemed to have stumbled across something of the same time period and it looks to be possibly military. Any ideas? The letters AG or AC in fancy script with cannons, swords, muskets, and a...

    Field hunt in the mud.

The temps soared into the upper 30s today here in MI so I had to get out and play in the mud. Found a skeleton key, a thimble, a couple of toe taps, one has a patent date of 1858, which was pretty cool to find, a couple of unknown clips, a 59' fattie, and my second shield nickel this year ( 1868...

    Finally, some gold!

Found an old gold ring at one of my field sites last week, but wanted to wait for confirmation before posting. It's a plain wedding band, no makers marks, but gold just the same. Just verified from a local jewellers. 10k, bent, and poorly sized with a copper resizing weld, but it reformed well...

    Double EAGLE!!

Oh, maybe I said that wrong. I meant two flying eagles...lol. Found my first one last year and I find two this year on the same hunt! They are both 1858. Also got a nice dry goods token and a London warranty flat button. Was a fun time playing in the iron. Deus in gmp mode settings were max...

    A few recent hunts.

Well I haven't posted any hunts in a while as there hasn't been any fields opened up until the past few days! Here are a few goodies I've managed to get at. Still waiting for a couple of my oldest sites to open up, but in the mean time I'm working on a tribe....Lol. Two fatties on the right, and...

    First Deus hunt!

First off I'd like to say I really like this detector, and not just due to the finds. I dug a lot of scrap pieces of copper, etc. But that's expected when field hunting, you dig it all. I'm curious about the button. This is the first if this style I've ever dug. The back says Rich on the top and...

    WS4 durability and case suggestion

Well, I'm happy to say that I'm a proud owner of a brand new Deus. Only my second new detector EVER....Lol. Everything looks great albeit a bit dainty. Now I know composites now a days are very strong, and I'm not complaining, but I'm curious how long the WS4 frame will/has lasted folks. I plan...

    JMT detectors

Great dealings with JMT detectors on multiple occasions. I purchased a pair of Whites Spectra wireless headphones and a soft case a couple of months ago from JMT. Decided to go the Deus route and was having trouble selling the whp on the forums so John bought them back (with cash, not credit...

    New Deus ordered!

I will be interested to see how the Frenchie does on my field sites this year. Never used one, but from what I've read and watched, I think I'm gonna like it. Picked up the WS4 package with the 9" coil. I'll definitely be stalking the mailman on this one...lol. A quick thumbs up to John at JMT...

    V3i field hunts

Thought I would share a couple of my last hunts here. Nothing really mind blowing but I do have to note that these two hunts are at sites that have been hunted by an Etrac, Deus, F75SE, and (obviously) the V3i. Not a brand comparison by any means, just showing that the perfect find-all detector...

    Giving the V3i Another Go

I look forward to your unbiased review of the V3i. Especially in the field/style of detecting that you do! Any info regarding recovery speed and iron masking would be great. Good huntin'

    Ultra high relief find

This is my first pressed style coin! I was concerned at first that it was made from an 1814 dime, turns out it was originally a barber. Pretty cool looking. My wife has already claimed it...Lol. I had an hour to get a hunt in, AN hour well spent imo! 1800s home site, now a field. D2 coil...
