    Metal Detector Question ?????

A person I know is interested in a detector purchase. I realized after talking with him my experience is limited to only Whites, and Fisher Detectors. How about some input on the detectors available. Give him your feedback, and why you use what you use. He intends to mostly coin shoot. In...

    Depth and the F75

No great story here. Just an exceptional depth on a very small target. Yesterday (Sunday) took the F75 for a little hunt. Lots of clad no Silver. BUT here is the story. A small circular Piece of copper no more than 3/8 inch round and about the same thickness was detected at a measured 8" in...

Vlad..where are you ??? need to ask a question

Will the 6" concentric coil be better in iron...and if so will the 10" concentric designed for the F70 be better in iron?? Not that the DD 11" is an Iron eater..it's not..but some really deep pieces of what looks like iron sometimes gives a coin signal.

A Few days ago I gave my opinion on the F75.....I am please to say...My Opinion of the F75 gets better every time I use it..

It takes a little getting used to..But it's easy to learn..and Is a remarkable metal detector.. My only big concern is..everyone will have one, and darn ,all the hammered sites are going to be all hammered again..only this time for real:rofl:

Has anyone determined how much depth can be done before the target Id and sound changes on coins.. I know it's pretty much same to 7, 8 " but over that I don't know..can anyone advise ??? Ie: Does a 12 inch quarter sound and Id same as a 7" quarter ???

Gas prices, and detecting............Where do you draw the line.

Used to be one could fill up, jump in the vehicle of choice, and go find a nice almost not touched sight( I said almost) Well at over $4.00 average price per gallon for a lot of us those days are gone, gone, gone, and I do mean gone. Expenses even cut in to our detecting equipment...

F75 and 1910 School ? Not good do not read unless you want negative reading.

My first really bad experience with F75..Used 6" coil...Tried DE Preset I ground balanced and immediately started getting false target readings..ID jumping around like crazy..Lowered Sens.to 40 from 60..No Good, machine still acted up. Erratic all the way..Even pinpoint mode would not pinpoint...

Someone just had to ask this question..may as well be me....F75/F70

Which is better ?? And why ?? Is the F70 a beter refined deeper version of 75, or is 75 deeper version.. Seems all you F70 posters prefer the F70...... Is it real, or is it Memorex. Which unit has the better all around ground balance??? Which unit is more stable all around??? Sounds to me...

I only got one thing this evening detecting

Soaked !!! Got caught in a rain storm with high wind and sleeting rain..Of course I parked 1/2 mile away from the area I was going to detect.. Just as I Ground balanced, here come the winds, followed by sheets of the( very wet variety) I might add rain.. Didn't know I could do a half mile in...

My opinion on the F75 . Just opinion. Everyone may not feel the same. We all have our favorites don't we?

And this only applies to me. The F75 is a fast response High end detector. It is a stand alone model..It's not a "Bounty Hunter"....It's not an old recycled Fisher. It is a new age, high tech, well designed, deep seeking New Fisher/First Texas Metal Detector. It's well made It's lightening fast...

Some good advice for new Detectorists

Stop !!! Do you really need that 8, 9 even 1100, or 1,400 dollar detector. Simple answer is no you don't. Todays detectors even the 250 range, and under really work very well. The one thing that is going to mandate the big expensive detectors is Do you want it or not. If you want it, get it...
