    I know that there is some problem with FCC regs in the U.S., but in Canada there doesn't seem to be a problem importing them.

    I have both machines and both are great, but each seem to have their advantages. The E-Trac appears to do better on depth, but you really have to spend alot of time with the machine to learn its nuances. The V3 is a far better machine for parks and playgrounds etc..     Headphone volume

    Is there any way to reduce the target volume. I was kind of surprised that the volume control only goes as low as 48, and I find this to be a bit loud. My machine is one of the original Visions, so maybe that's why.

    PLATINUM VDI???

    I have a plat. ring that I have tested with my V3. It is a small band with no stones. It comes up as a strong 16 on the VDI. Hopes this helps. Good luck. Wolf.

    Just thought you Canucks out there might be interested to know that the V3 is fantastic on Cdn. coins. I have an E-Trac and it barely picks out these coins. The V3 beats it hands down. It's also better on silver, because often the E-Trac gives these tones and signals in the penny range.
