    Happy Festivus Everyone

Today, 12/23/10, is Festivus Day. Instead of a Christmas Tree, you need only a Metal Pole. Instead of exchanging gifts, you are encouraged to air your grievances with your family. After that come the feats of strength (push-ups, for example). Then the party continues until the head of the...

    Steelhead Fishing in Idaho

My Daughter and I went Steelhead fishing for the first time this weekend. She landed a 25" Steelhead Salmon that took 10-15 minutes to get in. She did an amazing job. [attachment 178810 ChantellSteelhead.jpg] I caught a 23.5 incher. [attachment 178811 DanSteelhead.jpg] We also caught several...

    Delta: Recovery speed, Target Response?

How is the Delta's Recovery Speed and Target Response compared to say a Whites Classic ID or Tesoro Bandido II Umax? Thinking about trading my Tesoro for a detector with TID that has fast recovery speed and quick target response like my Bandido but want a TID machine to let friends use or home...

Depth reading on 6000di pro sl, something I didn't know until today.

This morning I set up a Depth Box so I could see how the depth gauge on my Safari worked as I didn't know what 1" or 6" etc.. looked like on it as it has no numbers only blocks. Here's a pic of the box I set up. [attachment 157981 DepthBox.jpg] So I decided to test my Whites with the Blue Max...

    SL Quarter and more today

Thought I'd get out for a bit this morning, so I headed to an old school I hadn't been to in years. Well it had been torn down and rebuit and the area I wanted to detect was behind a large fence that was posted No Trespassing. So there was another spot I have been meaning to get to that I used...

First day out with the Safari

I was a little worried about my decision to go with the Safari. When I put it together, it felt a little heavy, but it does weigh 2 pounds less than my Whites 6000di pro sl. I did some air tests on different targets in both ferrous and conductivity tones. I then planted some coins in the sod...
