600 nabs my first ever large cent...also messing with iron bias...

Took the 600 to my go-to pounded homesite. Did't let me down with my first large cent. Appears to be a draped bust but can't make out the date. Also, experimented with iron bias settings. Found that bumping up from 0 really quietens it down and still allows for goodies to be pulled from the...

Nox 600 is crazy in heavily hunted spots

600 pulls another one from the old pounded spot. https://youtu.be/X3iI1EETcNg w

    Ground Balance survey and question

What kind of ground balance numbers do y'all get in your area? And what numbers would suggest mild, moderate, and hot ground. My yard. Red clay. Auto GB. w

Good second time out with the 600

Second time out with the 600. More impressed each time. Some observations.. My $10 amazon aptx bluetooth earbuds work fantastic. No noticeable lag. They connect/reconnect automatically. I much prefer Park 2 to either of the Field modes for trashy sites with iron. It's nice to hit the Iron...

    Software Updates

Just wondering about this. As more Equinoxes are delivered and more feedback is received by Minelab, do you think a software update will be released sooner or later? w

    Wireless phones for 600

More testing with the 600 and wireless earbuds. The ones I bought are Bluetooth atpx but not low latency. Still, I don't notice any lag whatsoever. These are the ones I bought. $10 on Amazon. Anyone else have luck going wireless with the 600? w

ID finds from a homesite...Piano part, and ???

Hey folks. I found these at a couple of old homesites this weekend. They're not related. Ideas? [attachment 320425 FullSizeRender.jpg] w

    Interference from AT Pro?

Hey folks. I was at a group hunt today and probably half of the people there were swinging AT Pros. Whenever an AT got within about 20 feet my Fors Core went nuts with erratic signals. Totally unusable until the AT Pros got away. I tried changing to one of the other frequencies but that...

Nice couple of finds...and something interesting?

Really loving the Fors. Amazing how it can pull up nonferrous items from heavy nail polution, even with the big 11" coil. Was hitting my usual spot today for an hour or two. A pounded spot that has been my (and others) go-to spot for the last 5 years. Got a couple goodies including the...

Arm cuff padding - un sticky?

Was cleaning up my Fors Core today and noticed the padding on the arm cuff has come loose. Nothing major as I'm sure a dab of glue will put it back in place. I don't think I've had a machine that this has happened to. Anyone else notice this? w

    My first recovery and return...awesome.

Tonight I was able to find a ring for a lady who's husband had recently passed away. My third signal turned out to be the ring. Was a nice overload signal in an otherwise clean area. When I presented it to her she started crying and said "I can't believe it!". Gotta admit it I got pretty...

My Tuf Nut hunt with the Fors Core

Nothing earth shattering, but it was nice to pull a few nonferrous goodies from this site. https://youtu.be/caFrqBERzSc w

    DI2 in trash?

I know that DI2 isn't really meant for trashy areas, but I was wondering if anyone has used it with any success in this kind of environment. When I initially got my Fors, I thought the DI2 mode might be comparable to Etrac's TTF mode. So has anyone had luck with Di2 in trashy areas? w

Short hunt with the Fors Core

Took the Fors Core out to a HEAVILY hunter home site with tons of iron. Only managed one small nonferrous find a cool iron padlock. I've had this CoRe for about 3 months now and have only been skunked once. Love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lQXyidP2PE...

Concerned about warranty issues with Nokta?

Don't be. Had an issue with a "bubble" in the display of my Fors Core (here: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?100,2164941,2164941#msg-2164941). Sent an email to them and Dilek quickly responded, asked for the serial number, and said they would send me out another handgrip assembly. That...

Great day out with the Core yesterday.

Hit a few old homesites with a couple friends yesterday. Spots had been hit pretty hard by one of them over the last 10 years or so, so finds were few and far between. That was fine though. It was a beautiful day, saw some cool wildlife, and scored a couple keepers. Ran Di3, sensitivity up...

    Question on Overload Signals...

We all know the Fors are sensitive machines and give overload signals easily. If you get an overload, you're supposed to raise the coil slightly for a more accurate reading. I'm wondering what "good" things you've found that initially gave an overload signal. So far it's been nothing but...
